About

His recent work focuses on high-dimensional kissing arrangements and sphere packings. In 2026, together with collaborators, he constructed a configuration of 841 spheres kissing a central sphere in 12-dimensional Euclidean space, improving a lower bound that had stood since the work of Leech and Sloane in 1971.

How I can help

I hope to contribute to the community by bringing together ideas from mathematics, optimization, and machine learning. My work often involves applying large-scale computational methods to problems that have traditionally been studied through purely theoretical approaches. I am happy to share algorithms, datasets, software, and experimental methodologies that may be useful to other researchers. I also enjoy collaborating across disciplines and mentoring students, helping to build connections between mathematical theory and practical machine learning. Ultimately, I hope to contribute both new scientific results and new ways of using computation as a tool for discovery.

Looking to connect

I hope the machine learning community continues to deepen the interaction between modern optimization, large-scale computation, and fundamental mathematical research. Many classical mathematical problems remain beyond the reach of purely theoretical techniques, while advances in machine learning, GPU computing, and numerical optimization provide new ways to explore these questions. I am particularly interested in methods that combine rigorous mathematics with computational discovery, where algorithms can reveal new structures, generate conjectures, and guide theoretical understanding. I hope to see stronger collaboration between mathematicians and machine learning researchers, leading both to new mathematical results and to novel optimization techniques inspired by mathematics.
