Kolesa Group conducted its third study of Kazakhstan's data-profession market.
The profession has matured since 2021. Compared with the previous study, the share of specialists aged 26–30 increased by 15%, while the share based in Almaty and Astana rose by 6%. Overall experience also increased over three years: specialists with three to five years of experience grew from 38% to 49%.
Salaries:
Over the past three years, the average salary increased by about 40%. The number of analysts working in fintech companies grew by 17%. Respondents value remote work (42%) more than company culture (35%).

On October 24 at DAR U, we will discuss language models. QazCode (Beeline) Data Scientist Beksultan Sagyndyk will share recent NLP trends and explain how the Kazakh language is being integrated into the LLM era. Beksultan is one of the specialists developing Kazakh-language AI at Beeline Kazakhstan and QazCode.
Afterward, experts from QazCode, Big Data Team, and Conformal Group will join an informal discussion about NLP in business and how to apply LLMs in real-world cases.

27) International IT University: The IITU team solved six problems, led the Kazakhstani teams, and placed 27th overall.
52) Nazarbayev University: The team solved five problems, placed second among Kazakhstani teams, and 52nd overall.
55) Kazakh-British Technical University: The team also solved five problems, placed third among Kazakhstan's teams, and 55th overall.
82) Astana IT University: The AITU team also solved five problems, finished fourth among Kazakhstani teams, and placed 82nd overall.
135) Suleyman Demirel University: The SDU team solved two problems and placed 135th overall.

AI olympiad for school students: This year, Bulgaria will host the first international AI olympiad for school students in partnership with Google, similar to the IMO, IPhO, or IOI.
Thanks to your timely support in spreading the word, we were able to assemble a team for the olympiad!
The Competitive Programming Federation, CPFed KZ, has taken responsibility for organizing the team.
Kazakhstan will be represented by: 1) Yersultan Abzhami — Astana NurOrda, Grade 11, Codeforces: syrtin (maximum 2244); 2) Nurislam Syrgabayev — Kyzylorda BIL, Grade 11, Codeforces: Nuris (maximum 2168); 3) Vladislav Possin — Almaty School No. 165, Grade 11, Codeforces: Tima3 (maximum 2139); 4) Akezhan Askar — Semey NIS, Grade 10, Codeforces: mispertion20 (maximum 2205).
We are now looking for volunteers who can help the students prepare and represent Kazakhstan strongly at the olympiad.
