Galymzhan "Aleem" Issabekov is a Medical Doctor and PhD Candidate at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, working in clinical neuroscience. His research focuses on deep brain stimulation surgery and microelectrode recordings of single neurons in awake and sleeping patients, aiming to improve treatment for Parkinson’s disease. By studying human brain activity in vivo during neurosurgical procedures, his work explores mechanisms of brain stimulation, synaptic plasticity, and disease pathophysiology. Having trained in Asia, Europe, and the United States, his work has been shaped by diverse research environments.

I am an AI Engineer focused on applied LLM systems, NLP, RAG, model adaptation, and AI infrastructure for real-world products. I work on building practical AI assistants, evaluation pipelines, and domain-specific solutions for public sector and enterprise use cases.
