Hi! I'm Almerek, based in Astana. I'm just getting started in data science and machine learning, and I'm especially curious about how models learn from data and how they can solve everyday problems. I'm looking to learn from the community, join projects, and meet people with similar interests.

I'm a Data Scientist with 3 years of experience in a governmental organization, specializing in Python, SQL, and predictive analytics. I've worked on AI chatbot projects and am currently active in scientific research.

I'm a data analyst from Kazakhstan with a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Modelling from KazNU, and a two-time ICPC regional finalist. At Relog, I automated reporting with Python and SQL, cut manual data processing by about 70%, and used LLM APIs to classify and summarize over 1,000 records. I've also built a RAG pipeline with LangChain and a vector database, and evaluated it in LangSmith. I'm most interested in applied ML and LLM systems, especially retrieval, evaluation, and turning messy real-world data into something people can actually use.
