My portfolio is available at: https://www.bkamila.com 🇨🇳 Currently teaching Design Technology and Computer Science in Shanghai 👩🏻💻 Previously worked as a data scientist/business analyst with experience in high-end technologies: AWS Databricks, Microsoft Azure Synapse analytics, Tableau, MySQL, Overleaf, Devops, Matlab; (Being a part of a data science team focused on NLP tasks including and not limited to author name disambiguation, translation, normalization, sentiment analysis using pySpark); 🧐 Research-proficient: During my Master's at SFU I conducted research in virtual network embedding, cybersecurity, network intrusion detection using machine learning techniques that led to publishing three research papers, that can be found in IEEExplore; 🚀 Started my academic journey and engineering career at Pennsylvania State University (B.Sc. EE) 🌎 Global citizen, passionate about traveling and learning new cultures and languages; 🧘🏻♀️ Interested in running, yoga, meditation, books, acrylic painting, healthy food 🍏; 💻 Worked as a Lecturer (Information security), Teaching Assistant (Communication Networks, Senior Design Project/Technical Writing), and volunteered in various STEM programs. I would like to continue growing in related areas and contribute to STEM education for younger generation. I'm also happy to move into other new challenges where I can work with individuals of varied background on innovative tasks related to data analysis and visualization; 💡Curious and have knowledge about cybersecurity, blockchain, nanoelectronics.
