Bekzhan Kaiyrbekov

My name is Bekzhan, and I am an Information Technology Systems student based in Astana, graduating in 2026. I am actively developing my skills as an aspiring specialist in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Science. Currently, I am advancing my knowledge through the Deep Learning Specialization by DeepLearning.AI, specifically focusing on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). I have hands-on experience building a computer vision thesis project for intrusion detection using YOLOv8, and I am proficient in Python, SQL, scikit-learn, and handling basic NLP tasks.

I am looking to connect with the DSML community for high-quality networking, finding a mentor to guide my early career, and discovering entry-level job or internship opportunities. I am eager to collaborate on pet projects, participate in competitions and hackathons, and engage in paper discussions to expand my practical knowledge and stay connected with the local AI ecosystem.

I can offer active and dedicated participation in collaborative projects, hackathons, and study groups. I am happy to contribute my practical experience with object detection, tracking, and video analytics using YOLOv8. Additionally, I am ready to help teams with data preprocessing, exploratory data analysis (EDA), classical ML model implementation, and writing SQL queries.
