Abstract

Academic results are widely regarded as one of the most direct indicators of the quality of higher education and often determine students’ future career opportunities. This paper explores how performance differs across three educational levels: bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs. To compare the groups, we applied analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey’s post-hoc test, which revealed statistically significant distinctions. The findings suggest that master’s students—especially those enrolled in specialized programs—and doctoral students achieve higher average grades than undergraduates. This advantage can be linked to stronger research orientation, greater autonomy in learning, and more developed self-regulation skills. At the same time, the complexity of academic courses proved to be an important factor shaping student outcomes. The results provide a basis for universities to reconsider the structure of curricula and adapt teaching approaches with the aim of improving educational effectiveness.
