Equations for survival and ruin probabilities in risk processes
Мейрамбек Габдулиевич Тастанов, Fedor F. Maiyer
Abstract
The mathematical theory of risk, which is one of the branches of probability theory and mathematical statistics, deals with decision-making under conditions of uncertainty and risk. Risk measurement can be performed using probabilistic distributions—this is undoubtedly one of the main tasks in risk-related problems. In this work, we consider forecasting the survival of an insurance company in the presence of losses, which is especially relevant since, during the recent pandemic (which still continues), financial institutions have suffered significant losses.
