Deformation-Aware BVH Updates via Kinetic Extreme Vertex Tracking
Mohammed Alaa Ala’anzy, Olzhas Bazarkhan
Abstract
This is the official reference implementation accompanying the IEEE Access paper: "Deformation-Aware BVH Updates via Kinetic Extreme Vertex Tracking for Real-Time Soft-Body Simulation." What's Included Unity 6 Project: Complete C# source code for the proposed AwareUpdater and three baseline methods (KineticUpdater, RefitRotateUpdater, and DynamicBVHUpdater). Benchmark Harness: The exact testing environment used to generate the performance metrics reported in Section IV of the paper, including both single-test and global sweep configurations. Test Models: Pre-configured test meshes at multiple resolutions, including the Standard Dragon, Suzanne, and Double-Sided Plane. Analysis Pipeline: Jupyter notebooks (plots.ipynb, plots_data.ipynb, plots_pdf.ipynb) used to parse the raw CSV outputs and generate the final publication-ready figures. Getting Started Download the source code archive below or clone the repository. Open the extracted folder as a project in Unity 6 (tested on 6.0.23f1). Open the main scene located at Assets/Scenes/Benchmark.unity. Select the Benchmark or GlobalBenchmark GameObject in the hierarchy to configure your test parameters and run the simulations. Citation If you use this code or benchmark harness in your research, please refer to the README.md or the included CITATION.cff file for the proper IEEE citation format.
